Exactly what do You, Me and Mr. Paul K. Miller share?

You might understand Paul. I do not. However through fate I came to understand some features of him; enough to have some questions. However surprisingly I discovered that Mr. Miller and you and I have something very much in typical. But first a little bit of background on Paul.

Paul grew up on a farm. He had an older bro and a younger sis. His daddy was a generic farmer doing a bit of this and a bit of that. He had some cows and numerous horses. And a huge tractor. Paul learnt about the farm and how to work it. He matured on one.

Mother came from a German family and was difficult as nails. However had a laugh that would not give up. Not the one to shy away, she would mount her horse in her dress. Like most German moms she grew in girth as she aged. She handled to work all day on her farm and consume great deals of her very scrumptious country cooking.

Paul’s preferred aunt was Sallie. Sallie more than likely was born around 1890 and dressed it. She had the clearest of German eyes and a face showing a heart of gold.

Ma and pa flourished and ultimately purchased a brick home in town; most likely sold the farm to a subdivision. Paul’s daddy traded in his horse for a bike when Old Area died they bought a French poodle. The family grew but older brother and younger sis mysteriously faded from Paul’s life.

Paul was a piano gamer and transferred to the huge city. San Francisco? One can just imagine what it must have been like. Country Mouse going to the Big City. Paul was young and Paul was good-looking and Paul might play that piano. Paul was not going back to any farm.

And Paul was charming. Customers loved his charm and funny hats that he wore with his tuxedo. And he readied looking. He had a series of promotion pictures taken; some were composites of his portrait with his hands on the piano keys.

Paul liked to celebration however it was uncertain if he liked the girls. Therein lies part of his mystique. On scattered photos we looked for rings however it was uncertain; Paul wore a ring on his wedding finger however it did not appear to be a common kind of male wedding event ring.

Paul progressed understood and was welcomed to dip into swankier clubs and celebrations. Always an enjoyable man, Paul began to consume and was such fun when tipsy. He could play and drink all night. The party hosts liked him.

Economically times were great. There was the retreat home in the mountains … sort of a Mediterranean villa in the hills. A small river ran close by and Paul loved to come and invest time relaxing and drinking. Tough to inform simply just how much a problem for him drinking was … he most likely didn’t admit to much.

As the years went buy he ended up being more well-known and took some upgraded promotional shots. The years were not so kind however Paul remained up most nights working and drinking so what could one expect?

Then, it’s as if time stopped. It quickly ended right then and there. All that was left was the picture of a burnt piano in what looks like to be a burned out nightclub. Was Paul burned to death? Did he pass away at his piano? Where did his bro and sister go?

It probably appears that Paul is now dead. I can’t make certain and a Google of his name showed up nothing of significance other than there are great deals of Paul Millers in the world. Maybe I will never ever know if he passed away a natural death or burned up in a nightclub tragedy.

The male I bought the image album from didn’t know either. He stated it was odd, particularly the picture of the burnt piano. 5 bucks. For five bucks I’ll take a chance and see exactly what I might discover. But it came to a dead end.

I doubt Paul would have ever envisioned his faded blue photo album would be bought by a total stranger at a swap meet for five bucks. Therein lies the connection between you, me and him.

One day you and I will pass away … or a minimum of you will, ha. When we do, what will become of our stuff? Will our descendents treasure the images from their ancestors or see them as junk? Will they take your pictures and your stuff to the local swap satisfy and sell them to total strangers like many individuals do?

Most likely so, is my conclusion. There’s no guarantee what type of kids you will have if in fact you do have kids. If you don’t have kids, felt confident your stuff will wind up at the flea market and thrift shop.

So you might wish to make some easy strategies and streamline your things in advance. If you go suddenly chances are your surviving loved ones will divvy up what they desire and Goodwill what they do not.

And somebody like me will be going through your photos trying to link the dots …
